i used to take redeye flights across coasts like it was a normal commute. hop on a 11:30pm after my thursday night class to arrive in NY friday morning for work and meetings. spend the weekend with my love, then be back in LA by 3pm tuesday afternoon for my first class of the week. write 50pg thesis papers in airport lounges. design marketing decks 35,000 feet up. two multinational clients while making the Dean’s List my last two semesters. THAT was the grind. and the only way to maintain a steady long-distance relationship. working life makes you soft.

1. Be better than I was the day before: physically, mentally, emotionally.
2. Make progress in saving for a home in LA

2012 PT.2
This was my list of resolutions for 2012.
While I rarely looked back on these goals throughout the year, I’m proud to say that I achieved almost all of them. I was healthier (conquered the Insanity program, whatwhat!), bought less, changed that which didn’t make me happy, visited home more often, collected new stamps (recap on Brasil later), reunited with old friends, played basketball (even if it was only three times) and lived life. I think a lot of it was due to the last four months when I drifted in and out of a very serious+dramatic relationship, but now that it’s over, I finally feel at ease. It’s incredible how someone can influence your life - both positively and negatively - to such a degree. Let me stop before I digress into a rant about relationships/ insecure guys/ girl power/ working hard/ being blessed/ etcetc. 2012 was everything it needed to be. Looking forward to the world not ending. xx
