in case you weren’t on my 250+ person mailing list, and don’t follow me on twitter, instagram or facebook AND haven’t spoken to me in the last 2+ months (why are you here??), i recently ended a 6yr stint in public relations to work in advertising. aside from eating bugs, this is probably the single most stomach-churning, gut-wrenching decision i’ve made in my career. it took a few months to hash out and i’m only three days deep but man… i’m so. happy.
the annoying kind of happy when you can’t stop talking/posting about it to any audience that’s present. when you sit at your desk smiling to yourself because it’s everything you imagine and so much more. when you feel challenged, stressed and relieved at the same damn time, all the time. when there’s nothing left but to prove yourself (which will come with time) but your impatience gets the better of you because you just want to jump to the TRULY awesome parts that are bound to come. when it’s that new, new love.

every day has been an adventure. sometimes fast, sometimes slow, but an adventure nonetheless. i read, i research, i write, i learn. i laugh with my coworkers and bug our amazing office manager Kate when i don’t know who someone is or how to do something. i’m surrounded by unbelievable talent, all of whom i just want to hug and proudly show off to the world. you never realize how good you’ve got it ‘till it’s gone… and you never realize how good it could be ‘till you experience greatness.
